Cannot patch the game?

Hello. Im having problems with sound so i downloaded the patch 1.1 which is suppose to fix this. The problem is that the patch does not find the game. It does not even search the folder it was installed to. Ive noticed some folders that the patch does search so i moved the game there but as soon as i did that it stopped searching those folders too. This realy doesnt make any sense to me so i was wondering if there was such a thing as a manual patch? Or if it changes only few files i would apreciate if someone would upload those files. I downloaded the patch from http://www.gamershell.com

Also, i think it would be easier and faster if instead of searching, you could browse to the exe file or the game directory.

There is some confusion out there, so I'll try to clear it up.* There are 4 versions of the game out there, and right now 2-3 of them have available patches.* The "patch" file that you can find and download out on the web is specifically for the retail disc of Defense Grid and could possibly be used for the Wild Tangent version of Defense Grid (though that hasn't been tested to my knowledge).* If you don't have the retail version of the game, you don't want that patch.* If you have the Wild Tangent version of the game, let me know.





Additionally, there is a Steam patch for users who have purchased the game via Steam or Direct2Drive.* If you update the game via the Steam client, you should automatically receive the patch.





Right now there isn't a patch available for the Greenhouse version of Defense Grid.* If you have the Greenhouse version, please give us your DxDiag.txt output file from running dxdiag.exe on your computer.* Send it to Info @ hiddenpath .com and we'll work to help you from there.
