Saved Games, Transfer between computer's

I started playing on my laptop awhile back, Made it through almost all the maps. Then i installed on my desktop. I tried copying and pasting the files in, i tried using the back-up function through steam. Still nothing.

is there a way to take my saved game from my laptop and transfer it to my desktop

I, too, would love to know how this is done.

I've lost all my achievements and save games by re-installing the game on a new PC.

I thought achievements at least should be stored online so it doesn't matter where you play the game. That is the advantage of Steam.

Your acheievements and stats are stored on steam and the leaderboard entries are stored on the leaderboard server, but your save games and unlocks are stored locally.*





If you are a Steam user, your save games and progress are stored in the





C:\program files\steam\userdata\<userid>\18500\ .


Copy all folders and files from that directory from one machine to another and it should transfer your saves.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.

That clears it up. I didn't realise it, but I just checked and all the achievements and stats are still visible in the Steam community web site.

It makes sense that the unlocks are stored with the save games and that these are locally stored. I'll copy them across to my new machine so I can finally get back to finishing some of the achievements and attempting perfect scores on some missions I missed out on :)
