so i bought the game yesterday just to waste some time but i keep getting random crashes and random times.

the whole comp just locks up.

Sometimes i can play the game for about 10 waves, sometimes not even the first wave.

A full restart is needed after the crash as i cant quit, cant get back to desktop, cant do anything at all.

also the framerate is very very poor, as if its running at around 12-15FPS

Specs are:

CPU: [INTEL] QuadCore, Q9400

GPU: [ATi] HiS HD4890 Turbo (10.2 Drivers)

Sound: Realtek HD onboard

RAM: 4GB G.Skill DDR3 1333MHZ

Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR

can run absoulte any game i want, yet this small game seems to be a huge problem?

Your specs look great.*

Typically if the game is crashing it is because the video card overheats.* Defense Grid runs more shaders and tends to have more active objects in the game than many other products out there.* Watch the temperature of your video card and see if it is related.* If that isn't the case, it is then typically a driver issue.*

There are known issues for your video card with the latest versions of the Catalyst drivers.* Try versions 9.4 or earlier and see if that solves the problem with your card.

If that isn't the case, send the output text file from your DxDiag to info <at> hiddenpath* .com and we'll take a look.

Im using the same Realtek onboard sound now and it sounds a lot like this issue all though my framereate is perfectly fine, im using a gtx 280 card with 196.21 drivers. Could it be that these drivers are causing me problems? or is it that realtek is an issue too? 6.0.6002.18005 is what i have for the driver version for my realtek onboard sound.

I know of know issues with GeForce cards and Realtek sound drivers.* Why don't you send*us the output file from a DXDiag test to info <at> hiddenpath* .com.

There is already a entanglement game play in youtube. It is made by a xbox360.
But I think that XBOX-version differs not much from PC-version.
