I just tried it and, to my amazement, finished it with a score of 83901. I say I am amazed because I have only played grinder mode once before on a different map. I used plenty of temporals in the main kill zone at the left side of the map, I also used lots of meteors because of you're dealing with such large groups of aliens and I used a few infernos - not many - about three. I only had about 6-7 canon towers total but what I think really whacks em good is the concussion towers (placed on the left side only). Because I route them in an S shape around the raised areas at the left side of the map, the concussions pound them the entire time they are going through. I think I had 5 red concussions by the end? And the rest were guns. I only had two temporals at the right side of the map. I used no lasers, no teslas, no command towers (enemy is close enough for cloaked bastards and you definitely dont wind up needing money/resources). However, judicious use of the orbital laser was critical!! no way I could have won that without the orbital laser. just too many bad guys. I would target the laser centered on one of those raised areas at the left side and whack em on all sides when it would fire. But I would let them get pretty far depending on what was coming down the pike. and I HATE those *&$#%^*@ racers!! anyway, I know that isnt a ton of detail as to where I put what but I would have to say the combination of meteors being able to hit most things on the map and of course guns and overlapping temporals AND concussions especially did it for me. Making them have to crawl through the kill area for multiple red concussion towers was quite excellent. MWAHAHAHAHAHA. lastly, I did no tower building after level 65ish - somewhere in there. just watched and sweated with my finger on the F key much of the time just waiting for that laser indicator to light up and save the day. good luck!!

Thanks Fudgeman, but... are you talking about the Grinder or Super Grinder mode ? I had no problem (humm...) completing the Grinder mode, but am stuck on Super Grinder.

I was 100% certain is was super grinder until you raised the question and now I am doubting myself a tad but I am 95% certain because I looked for super grinder. Also, doesnt the regular grinder mode only have one type of alien? The mode I played had every type of alien from rumblers to the big red slow but super brutal guys to the super annoying racers (I think they are the worst because of their speed) and all the other types you see in regular map play. Anyway, It was brutality central but I squeaked by just barely thanks to the orbital laser. Oh and btw, not sure how much it matters but I lost most of the cores. I'm not sure how you could do much more damage than I was doing. perhaps some more red concussion towers at the bottom left choke point? Not sure but I was able to scrape by. what strategery (george bush inspired) are you using?

Thanks Fudgeman, it works now. I understood that I had to built more meteors at some point. I stil needed to "cheat" three times with the Orbital laser (or whatever it is called). Has anyone succeeded NOT using the Orbital Laser?
