    Turtle bug with checkpoint load

    May have been mentioned before, but I didn't see it in my scan of the forums so:

    If a Turtle unit is in play at as you reach one of the preset checkpoints, it can be bugged out by loading that checkpoint. Upon loading, the Turtle no longer drops anything when it is destroyed. I'm not sure if it happens 100% of the time, but it was happening consistently on the final level for me.

    Yes, this is a known bug where the turtle system and the load/save system can get out of synch.* It does not always happen, but can happen repeatedly once the situation first occurs with a particular turtle.

    turtle bug

    I have seen the reverse of this bug in the new map Endurance Frozen Core Reversed. At chk20, when I backspaced, there would suddenly be an extra crasher. It was only possible in my first run on the map, and only in one out of five backspaces (1/5) did it actually happen. I actually then had 2 crashers when the turtle broke.

    So according to your explanation given here, if it is still valid, it is not a bug in the map, but a bug concerning the synch system. I have until now not been able to repeat the bug.

    I have seen this as well. Also in Endurance, backspacing to a checkpoint meant randomly that a turtle was whole/split or both whole & split. It was quite odd but only happened once.
