I thought I'd finished but I still have to get Nail Biter. I have set up a grinder level where all the cores are near the exit at the end, and the last walker dies after the last tower, but I still don't get the award. All the cores look well within the 10 second limit at the end. Anyone else having such fun! Any tips?
Jeff - completed but.....
Ok - I did this on a single core level but it would be good to be able to choose the achievement you want to try for on a specific level - like nail biter on a grinder level. It would make the game a lot longer - like skirmish in a C&C game. But I suppose the developers found that some challenges really were impossible on some levels. Anyway, thanks for a great game - it was the best value for money game I have ever bought. Next one please 'cos I'm getting withdrawal symptoms already. I'm not trying for the leaderboard as so many people are cheating.
Achievements can be complex for code
Already, implementing achievements can be somewhat tricky because they need to be aware of what you are doing in so many modes and places in the code that they are rather pervasive througout the codebase.* The only reason we made any requirements at all (on an advanced level - not the first four levels) was so that you wouldn't automatically get certain achievements because of the level's design.* There are other rules that show up - all of one kind of tower requires no selling if I recall, because one could cheat our detection system that way, but overall our goal was to let you get the acheivements in whichever mode you enjoyed getting it in as much as possible.
