My cannons simply stop targeting after a while... Anyone else run into this problem?
Can you explain this further?
Cannon towers and Meteor towers have an "inner" radius as well as an "outer" radius, in that they can't shoot at aliens that are*basically in the adjacent square to them.* They are long range towers, but they*also have a minimum range*of about a tower door size.*
Perhaps that is the reason you think they stop*targeting,*perhaps it isn't.* If it isn't, can you tell me more about the situation:*
1. which level cannons - level 1, 2, or 3 are not targeting?* All levels, only one level?
2. which map and mode is this happening on?* Is it only one map/mode or many?
3. Is your frame rate very slow when this is happening?
4. what are the cannons doing when they aren't targeting as you expect?* Are they moving around searching for new targets? Are they completely stationary?

When they are not firing, they remains static, as in not moving at all, even though usually they will moves around a little. Also I'm certain that they should be firing, or at least, have something to be shooting one. Also, effecting my performance as in how well I'm doing in that level.
I'm going to bet you're seeing the effects of stealth aliens
I think you're talking about the level called "containment" is that correct?* This level I believe is one of the first levels where you have stealthed aliens coming in and towers are often far away from the roads.* Stealthed aliens can not be seen by towers that are more than a couple of squares away from them and long-range towers such as Cannon and Meteor towers can significantly be affected by not being able to see the stealthed aliens.* What can you do in that scenario?* In containment I believe we also introduce the Command tower.* The Command tower does a couple of things, but the main thing it does to make this level work is that it "illuminates" stealthed aliens that enter its ranged circle.* An illuminated stealth alien can then be seen by all towers and will be fired upon by towers near *and* far away.* Otherwise without the command towers, only towers close to a stealthed alien will fire at them.
Perhaps I'm way off base here, but I'm betting that if you have a command tower near the aliens that are being ignored (they typically have a transparent effect on them and you can see through them - though they still cast a solid shadow) then I bet the Cannon and Meteor towers will fire at them.
Let me know if I'm guessing incorrectly here.

He might be talking about flight plan, there's a dam mountain which blocks the cannons, it's real hard to tell.

Actually I notices this in the "Last stand" level. Playing in Grind mode. So I don't think it have anything to do with stealth.

No, I've seen this too and posted about it. It's not a radius problem. The cannon and meteors just lock up. It can be any upgrade level, and I've seen it on just about every map. It seems to be linked to the FastFwd button. If I play a game and intentionally never hit FF, I very rarely get this problem.
The towers freeze. The cannons don't move to track targets or even do their random movments when there are no targets.
I don't view my framerate, so I have no clue if that's connected. Both computers I've seen this happen on are Intel Core2Duo, GeForce cards with latest drivers. One is running Win7-32, the other: XP-32.
I've also seen my meteor towers glitch where they will make the motions of firing, but nothing comes out the top, and no damage is done to what they should be targeting.
In all these cases, exiting the mission to the main menu, then going back to that scenario and chosing to "Continue" will bring the cannon and meteor towers back on-line. They will immediately start firing.
Just FYI, I've played over 200 hours, have 69 Gold Medals, and 54 achievements. I'm well aware of how these towers SHOULD be acting and what their limits are.

I'm seeing this on Height of Confusion. I plant a level 1 Meteor Tower near the middle of the map, and it just stops firing. There are enemies within its radius, and nobody within its minimum range, and it just sits there.
It's fairly early on in the run, too, so there isn't much on the screen and my framerate is fine.
