Any annoying copy protection? (SecuROM, etc)

Hello. For quite some time, I've been saying to myself that a nice, professionally done Tower Defense game would be awesome if someone made it, and along you guys came. I don't play much in the way of TD, but my dad does, and I am considering this as a Christmas present for him....

But I want to make sure he won't have to deal with any of the annoying, user-discouraging, non-effective DRM schemes that most games seem to be plagued with these days. Have you guys included any protection other than distributing through Steam and Direct2Drive? I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere and I just didn't see it.

Also, any plans of releasing to stores, or do you intend to only distribute via online content providers? I know my dad would feel better if he had a hard, disk-based copy in his hands.

    DRM and stores

    Hi,

At the moment we are only using Steam's DRM.* We may end up using the Direct2Drive one as well, but we have to work out some issues there first.* We haven't heard of any issues with the Steam DRM to date.

As for releasing in stores, we are currently download-only at the moment.* That may change in the future, but there are no plans at this time.

See you (or your dad) on the leaderboards!

    Jeff
