Comp Lock up and sound loop going through different channels

I really want to play this game, seems fun, but I am having a problem. I start the game and it plays for a varying amount of time and then it locks up my computer and the sound loops through each channel in my 5.1 sound system. This is a brand new computer that I just built that should be able to handle this game. ATI 4870 card, x-fi soundblaster, quad 3.2ghz AMD Phenom and 4gigs of ram and im running it on Win XP. Help please.

A thing to note, 9/10 times the game has crashed it has done so during a voice over.

I expect if you look at the output of DXDiag, you'll find that your x-fi soundblaster doesn't have a Windows Qualified driver.* Contact Creative and see if you can get one for the X-Fi.
