Master Strategist & The New Levels

Do the new challenge levels affect the Master Strategist achievement i.e. do we need to beat all the new challenge levels to get the Master Strategist achievement in addition to the original challenges or will we automatically get the achievement when we beat all of the original challenges?

Also, do the Borderlands maps affect it in any way?

YES. You have to beat 128 Missions in all to get Master strategist.
But if a gamer have gotten that achievement already, he needs not to do anything more.

If we got gold medals before the update, those still count right? We don't need to get those again... I beat all the Awakening campaign stories and challenges with all golds and that puts me at 111 golds according to Steam. I'm guessing the last 17 come from Borderlands...?

And what's the deal with the 3 new achievements for Resurgence maps? Are those Borderlands or a future expansion?

Gold medals before patch still count in condition that

you did not delete 18500 directory. I hope that you did not.



The awakening has 112 missions. Borderlands has 16 missions.

One of Hidden path people told in user forum that he will make a suggestion about this.

I think that Master strategist is not important at all.

Because Gold medals are easy to get with some exceptive missions

(eg. fire control green towers, out of fuel green towers)



In user forum Mr. Jeff wrote that Defense grid : Resurgence has 8 maps.

In my expectation, there will be about 45 missions in defense grid : R

What is important is whether a gamer can make progress of his strategy or not.

Sorry about the confusion on Master Strategist.* I was also confused until I talked more in-depth with the team.





Ok, here is how Master Strategist is supposed to work (and to our knowledge does work).





Master Strategist requires that you have a gold medal on every possible map and mode in the DG: Awakening campaign and that is it.* What you do in DG: Borderlands or in the upcoming DG: Resurgence does not affect the Master Strategist achievement.





There is a twist though, as some of you have found out.* As part of our "DG: Borderlands" update that was included in the original Xbox release and was recently added to the PC release, we not only gave you the Borderlands maps and modes, but we also stealthly upgraded the Awakening to have more modes than it had before.





That's where the confusion now comes in.* The acheivement previously could be awarded on the PC by getting gold on the modes that were available then*which were fewer in number prior to the*update.* If you received the achievement prior to the update, it doesn't go away.*





But, if you are still working on that achievement there*are now more modes to*get gold on*in the*Awakening campaign on PC in order to get it.* On the Xbox,*it remains the same as*it was*and the PC is now the same as on the*Xbox in what it takes to get the Master Strategist achievement.*





There are no plans to update the Awakening campaign any more so don't worry, DG: Resurgence won't make it even harder to get.
