Resurgence Pack #3 XBLA Achievement Glitch

Is there a glitch with the achievement for this map pack? I got Gold on both maps and the achievement did not unlock. Could it just an issue with my download? If so could redownloading solve the problem?

I would like to have this resolved as I took great joy in having Defense Grid as one of my completed games with 100% achievement.

Well for anyone else who may encounter this problem: deleting the map pack and redownloading it solved the problem.

After redownloading the map pack the achievement unlocked when I got a silver medal on the Urban Planning map. So it still recognized my original scores. I just had to re-play the map after downloading it again.

I don't think reinstalling has anything to do with it.* Basically the game checks to see if you should have the achievement every time you enter or exit a level.* If for some reason Xbox LIVE doesn't respond at the end of the level, it well may respond the next time you enter*one of the*levels associated with that achievement.

I've only got the Overflowing achievement to unlock on 360 and i've gotten this error at least 20 times.
So far I have
- Re-downloaded the packs
- Re-downloaded the game + the packs
- Moved my profile to the HDD (game saves are all saved on the HDD)
- Cleared the cache (repeatedly)
- Oh and played for hours and hours

So I'm left with one achievement I can't get because my system tells me I'm not connected to Live although i've got no problems playing games online.

Anyone got any other suggestions

Still trying - every day or so I jump on and do one of the maps. Same error every time.

Actually hoping to get a chance to go around to my father's place and try there shortly - he hasn't got these achievements either but thats more because he's struggling with the maps than it not unlocking.

On the XBox forums they sugested plaing the very first level. Same issue.

I've also tried to do it while in a party to ensure my 360 definitely wasn't losing connection to Live. But alas no luck.

Well I went around to my father's. Tried there with the same result. Helped him finish the last levels and now he has the same issue. Thought i'd have one last go at it and took it and played it on my nephew's xbox with the same effect.

So now i've done everything I can to get it to pop and I can quite un-happily say it's broken and I want it fixed!

GOOD NEWS!*




Our colleagues at Microsoft have discovered the source of the Defense Grid achievement problem that some users are having and it has been corrected and verified by the Xbox LIVE team!


Now that this issue is fixed there are a couple things you should know


1. Players who have not yet earned the Achievement, should now be able to successfully earn the achievement once they meet the requirements.


2. However, players who have met the Achievement requirements but didn’t receive it will have to recover their profiles in order re-earn it.* For instructions on how to do this, please refer to the following support site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907333?sd=xbox

Jeff - thanks for the update. Though I've just tried it and got the message again.

I'm going to try it again in a few days in case whatever the change is has not been applied yet.

Additionally can I use my old save or do I have to play with a new one and actually re-play the maps to get the achievement? Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

If you already did what you were supposed to earn the achievement, then you have to go through the step above to recover your profile.* Once you've done that, you likely have to re-play the map to get the achievement.

Yeah I tried that. Still got the same error.

My old man grabbed himself a 360 Slim the other day and the move to the new console forced his system to update DG. Now he's not getting the error but he hasn't got the achievements either. I'll be getting myself a slim at the end of the week and i'm going to retry it again. In the meantime it is important to note I've tried restoring my profile twice and replaying the maps multiple times.

I tell you if the game wasn't so good I'd have given p on this a long time ago.
