Please make a remedy about malignant cheaters

Today, as I was reviewing the leader board, I found a malignant cheater.

He did cheat not only in story missions but also other challenge missions.

For example, out of fuel - green towers only and focal point -grinder

Any DG gamer soon can find out that "his score is fake and cheated".

Malignant gamers like him must be banned forever,

As I said before (several months ago), any story score can not be over 500K.

And no body can get score over 90k in focal point -story without cheating.

I want Hidden path entertainment to delete cheaters' score as well as banning them,

It's probably easier to ID the bad ones if you'll post their names. I don't know for sure, but hopefully HP people are busy, so the more info you provide, the less time they waste trying to figure out exactly what score is off.

suggested format -- name, map, mode, score, reason score is suspect

Normally, I would be concerned a player doesn't understand how high scores can go in this game, but I recognize your name from the leaderboards.

I also support banning obvious cheaters. Clearly one score can be the result of a bug, but if someone is going around posting impossible scores over and over and over, if banning from the leaderboards is possible, it should be done.

Hello Takista I feel your pain. Hidden Path has a great staff that created a great game. However for some reason they have been slack (slow in responding) when it comes to removing cheaters! I have been playing DG for a long time. On the first leader board there were many cheaters and very little was done to remove them. The boards were then wiped out which was great finally a chance to post some # 1 scores on story mode. Now as before the boards are just littered by hackers again. The gamer Fortunz believes that the staff has been committed to removing cheaters i wish i could say this was true. From My vast experience playing this game i know its not. I think in light of the many scores we now know are impossible to make (See Anti cheaters pettion for a list) it is not wright to make us wait for some who knows when date in the future to remove these scores. For some reason no one supported my pettion? Maybe you or some else can try this idea. keep posting when you see cheaters it is all we can do. Your friend, Sal
To Jeff. the player MMXZEN is an obvious cheater! DG is a great game. The fun of the game is to try and top the leader boards. If these new cheaters are allowed to continue. the game will be ruined and you will lose sales and money. why should we buy new

As they've posted before, Hidden Path wants to make sure they can replace scores if they accidentally remove a good one -- which I think is an excellent precaution to take. I also don't want them combing the leaderboards everyday because their time is more valuable than that. They have removed some clearly impossible scores from time to time as well as clearly buggy ones (0 towers built) or those players come forward asking for their own scores to be removed because they were due to a bug.

I don't know why it has taken so long to figure out whether they can replace a wrongly removed score. Put one of their own scores on the board, remove it and then see if there's any way to put it back. I can only assume that if there is any mechanism for replacing mistakenly removed it must be hard to find or utilize. And I'm sure this isn't the highest priority issue for them and I hope it never is. Bugs are more important, new content is more important, general support is more important. It is right to make us wait because they're a small company and they have to prioritize the important stuff.

To Fortunz , please dont think i am hostile however I must take issue with a few things you have said. First the number of scores they have removed have been only a few compared to some of the outlandish scores they have allowed to remain both on this leaderboard and the previous. I think to the team you are right this not the highest prioritity. New content is very importain, however we all would have been done playing this game along time ago when we beat all the levels if it was not for the leaderboards and trying to beat each others scores. I say the leader boards keep us playing this great game and are MOST IMPORTAIN to the gamer! The leaderboards are the the HEART and Soul of DG. But you are right who checks a leader board before they buy a game? As for Combing the leaderboard? Once a week for 15 mins would not kill anyone.

I'm not worried about you being hostile, we just disagree on a few points. I do look forward to hearing from them again on the issue, specifically where they are on being able to replace scores and whether there are any other things players could help them with.

For instance, 15 minutes per week isn't enough time to remove many scores if you have to sit down and try to crunch top possible scores each time. If it would help, some of the more experienced leaderboard high scorers could help compile a grid of likely top possible scores per map/mode and definitely impossible scores that they could use as a reference, as well as providing weekly guidance for the worst offenders. This would decrease the chances of improper removal and increase efficiency for HP.

Yes you are right about 15 mins not being enough time it would probably take about a half hour to view the boards and who knows how long it will take to remove the scores. The point is i dont think it would take up that much of the teams valuable time. Dont you as a top player want to be free to actually reach # 1 on these boards without some hacker in your way? Well any way, yes lets argee to disargee on a few issues. I did make a partial list on my anti cheaters post. I think that is a good idea i would be glad to make a total list of 100% cheaters and likely cheaters i can tell instantly no crunching is involved just plain old common sense. A top gamer can just see the scores that are cheating instantly. Any way not to brag but i been playing this game for a long time and have numberous #1 scores on the leader boards. I think I should be one of those trusted to make a list. However I am not going to just make a list until I know they will read it and are ready to act upon it.

You said to me that I should write their nicknames and map names and judging criteria. But...

It ia a long time taking job to complete cheaters list, 'coz DG has 168 missions in all.

Like in marathon race, DG also has leading group in each mission.

It's impossbile to beat 2nd gamer by more than 10k in maps before Containment.

And it's impossible to beat me or salmusco by more than 100K in non-grinder mission.

I think that it's a good start in judging a gamer to be or not to be a score editor.

I care, I just don't care very much. You still get respect from all the good players who can indeed spot the cheaters on sight.

I finally did the job !!

I sent an e-mail to technical team with screenshots that captured all cheaters.

If any of gamers want to see my file, leave an E-mail address in this post.
