Sound Problem!

Well it seems i am having the same sound problems. i tried disabling other sound cards but there is no other. when i go to audio devices in control panel it gives me an option for Modem #0 as well as my sound card, Realtek HD Audio. Now in device manager i disabled the only modem that is showing and still nothing? help! Has anyone found a resolution to this problem yet? Also i have played a thousand games on this computer and never had an audio issue... why is this the only game i have to go mess around in my system setting for? must be somthing other thandisabling stuff... but any help would be much appreciated.

Well this is different than what we've seen before.* Can you send a DxDiag and an sysinfo report to info <at> hiddenpath .com?

Echo points out on the thread we were previously on before this one was created that once there is only one audio device, you still have to go to the options screen and set the audio volume sliders back up to full volume to hear the game.* The issue here is that we're using the DirectX audio engine, (maybe not many do), and it appears to set sliders to zero and not initialize if there is more than one audio device that it can address.* We're talking with Microsoft about this as well.
