Hmm, not sure why that's happening. It isn't unavailable, but that error message from Steam isn't too helpful. Try the standard stuff. Restart Steam, restart windows, to see if something is stuck with all the traffic they are having during the sale. Try deleting the clientregistry.blob file in the Steam directory as well, sometimes when Steam replaces that file, it "unsticks" things.

i tried those ways that u mentioned but non worked. i talked w/someone who had DG on steam and he had an exe file under the game folder but i just don't have it. i reinstalled it and re-clarified the integrity of this game and it started to download a file (about 7.9mb) which i guess is the missing exe file but still can't see any exe.

Yes, by default (assuming you didn't change the install location) your defensegrid.exe should be located in the Steam/steamapps/common/defensegridtheawakening subdirectory. If it isn't there then it isn't downloading properly from Steam.

Unfortunately it wouldn't work even if someone did because of the way Steam works and authenticates. Best thing to try is to go to your library page, right click on Defense Grid and choose "delete local content". After it does that, then re-install it by clicking on the name and it should re-download everything appropriately.
