odd behavior in level Waste Disposal

I'm not sure if this is exactly a tech support question, but it may be, so I'll try asking this here. I bought Defense Grid on Steam (loved it by the way!) and there were a couple of odd things about one of the missions, 'waste disposal' (third to last). For one thing, I didn't get any 'interest' (where you gain resources in time proportional to how much unspent resources you have) for the entire level. I checked all the other maps, and that's the only one it's off on. Also, the aliens start off carrying the cores in the very beginning (but once you kill the first couple of waves, the cores go back to their container thing, and then things proceed as normal from then on.) Combine these with the fact that I found that level far and away the hardest in the game (including the 2 after it) made me wonder if something was wrong? I tried restarting the game and steam, and I tried verifying the integrity of the game cache through steam, and everything seemed fine. Just wondering, thanks!

You only gain interest in Defense Grid when cores are in your target housing.* You gain full interest when all 24 cores are there and get 1/24th less interest when a core is not in the housing.* Waste Disposal (and Out of Fuel for example) start as you say with the aliens having the cores.* Therefore you start getting interest, once a core lands in your housing.

Thanks, I should've guessed there was a connection between the 2. Again, I really enjoyed the game!

(I bothered asking here since I was trying to go back and get a silver medal in all the maps and was pondering Waste Disposal when I noticed I wasn't getting any interest, and I wanted every edge I could get!)
