    Question xbox 360 reset campaign

I sold my 360 about 2 years ago having 90% completed the campaign on defense grid.

I got a new 360 recently, but I find that somehow the game has remembered that I was on the last level, but now I have no idea what the towers do, or what I'm doing, and I've forgotten the story.

How can I reset the campaign so that I can play it again properly from the start?

    Thank you

That's great. No worries. On the menu selection screen, you can simply scroll back to the beginning and play any level you'd like to play again. It remembers the highest score that you got on that level. I can't remember if when you first start up the game if it automatically scrolls over to the first level you haven't played yet (which may be annoying in your case), but you are always free to scroll left on the list of maps and pick an earlier mission and select the story mode or any chellenge mode you'd like.

Thanks. So there's no way I can start from scratch then? This is a brand new xbox, I guess it must have picked up something from my gamer tag.

Yes, your progress through the game is stored in your profile.

So I need to get a new gamer tag to start again. Seems a shame. I'd have bought it for my Mac instead if it wasn't so expensive compared with steam. (And, steam is on the Mac, which is doubly annoying).

    Thanks again.

The Mac version is sold by a different company who licensed it from us and uses their online authentication. It is not on Steam. I'll ask the tech team if there is a way to reset your Xbox360 profile saves - there might be.

Sorry to stick my nose in here, but he should be able to go to "settings", "system", "storage", "hard drive", "games and apps", "Defence Grid", then delete the "saved games" file that features his profile name. I believe that would allow him to start fresh.

Actually that's not the case on the Xbox 360. The save games stored are only levels that are quit while in the middle of them. On the Xbox 360, which levels you've unlocked, and what medals you've received are stored in your Xbox 360 profile which you can't delete. It is different on the PC.

Thanks guys. I must say its really refreshing to see such developer involvement in a forum. I think I'll go eat some raspberries...

I talked with our programmers and they don't know a way of resetting your Defense Grid information in your Xbox LIVE profile. One suggestion though that may or may not work for you, is to create a new offline profile on your Xbox 360 that you can use to start over playing Defense Grid. Defense Grid is a single player game and will post to the leaderboards even if your profile is a free Silver account, so you can start over in Defense Grid for free, you just need a profile that hasn't played Defense Grid before to do that. Hope that helps.
