Mouse problem with PC version of Defense Grid.
Hello!
I started playing Defense Grid again the other day, and I am now encountering a problem when starting up the game. My mouse cursor seems to be stuck to the upper left corner of the game. My mouse is otherwise actually working, since I can pull it onto my other screen and see it, the cursor in game just does not respond to anything. Same thing with keyboard, I cannot interact with the game in any way.
I'm using 64bit W7, Intel 3GHz dualcore, 4gb of ram. Gfx card is Nvidia's GTX 260. I played the game yesterday and it worked fine, but this morning my firewall, Comodo, asked permissions for the game again. I thought nothing of it since it's fairly normal, gave the permissions and started up the game only to find the problem I described earlier. I tried installing the newest mouse drivers, but it did not help. I also tried reinstalling the game on Steam to no avail.
Any ideas on what might be wrong and how to fix it?

Wow, that's a new one - sorry I don't immediately know the answer for you. My first thing I'd try doing, just to see what would happen would be to see if you disable the firewall if the mouse problem goes away. I have seen reports in other situations where anti-virus and firewall can affect program behavior through the mouse, but I don't remember anything like that for Defense Grid except when it is laptop touchpad drivers. Do you have a touchpad? If you want you can send a dxdiag.exe text output file to info <at> hiddenpath <dot> com and we can take a look for any other driver issues we are more used to seeing that might be adding up together, but I don't know of any behavior we know about that would manifest itself the way you are describing.

Hello! Thanks for the fast response. I tweaked around a bit with my firewall, and found out that the problem lies there. I managed to get the game working again. Looking at the problem again, I should had noticed earlier that the problem most likely lied with the firewall since it was asking for new permissions when I started the game up again. I'll try and see if I can get Comodo's Defense+ actually to let the game do whatever it wants to.
