"Defense Grid is an incredibly fun strategy game. The voice acting for your companion is priceless, the levels are almost endlessly replayable, and the unit variety is surprising. There is pure strategy behind tower placement and upgrade paths, and also with the maze creation on the more open maps. Possibly my favorite thing about this game is that it is hardcore and casual at the same time. I can jump in, play a few levels, and have a blast for 15 minutes, or I can spend hours on the same level try to reach the top of the leaderboard."
