Game Quits to Desktop: Running Win7 BtSix
Hello. I don't think there are many in this same boat, but I just wanted to say that the game will quit back to the desktop when running BtSix. BtSix is software that allows use of the Sony Sixaxis controller with a Windows computer. I have installed libusb, PPJoy 0.83, and BtSix 1.5c with Windows 7. Defense Grid will exit back to the desktop whenever you access the settings from in-game, or after about 1-2 minutes of gameplay. However, if you do not run BtSix, then the game runs fine.
I had really wanted to use the gamepad, but it's still fun playing with the mouse. Hope this helps anybody having the same random crashes and updating your DirectX doesn't help. :)

Thanks much for reporting this. Likely it is DirectX that isn't happy with BtSix as we're querying DirectX commands to access the gamepad. We know the game works with the Games for Windows/Xbox wired controller and we access that not directly, but via DirectX. When I'm back in the office, I'll send off a mail to the DirectX folks letting them know about the BtSix conflict.
