SENIOR GRAPHICS ENGINEER

Hidden Path Entertainment is seeking a Senior Graphics Engineer for a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will take place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise using Unreal Engine 5.

The ideal candidate will enjoy creating and maintaining graphics technologies and tools, often working closely with members of the art team (tech art, visual effects, lighting, environment, character, cinematics), and will have experience profiling and optimizing game titles.

Hidden Path Entertainment is based in the Pacific Time Zone. Employees work a 40 hour week with daily overlapping hours of 10am to 4pm Pacific time.

Senior Graphics Engineer- $140,000 to $205,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new graphics features and systems, and extend existing graphics technologies
  • Develop tools to help the art team achieve their AAA visual goals
  • Investigate and fix rendering defects and performance issues
  • Provide mentorship for other graphics programmers through code reviews and advice

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years in the game industry
  • Shipped at least one game title
  • Strong knowledge of current graphics APIs and shader languages
  • Strong knowledge on ways to profile and optimize code and content for the CPU and GPU in a multithreaded game engine
  • Strong knowledge of 3D mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of current rendering pipelines and techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of C++
  • Excellent debugging skills, and experience debugging crashes on the CPU and GPU
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate across disciplines

NICE TO HAVE

  • B.S. in computer science or computer engineering

SENIOR UI ENGINEER

Hidden Path Entertainment is seeking a Senior UI Engineer for a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will take place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise using Unreal Engine 5.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about good UI/UX in video games, and will have experience creating or working with UI systems and player-facing UI using a game engine.

  • Develop the technical framework, widget library, and standards for this RPG’s user interface across multiple platforms
  • Work closely with UI artists and designers to realize the game’s UI
  • Work with other engineers to help them implement UI features
  • Document UI systems so that others can use them and understand them
  • Write maintainable and performant code
  • Offer UI improvements/solutions for internal tools
  • Assist with bug fixing and polish

REQUIREMENTS

ANIMATION DIRECTOR

Hidden Path Entertainment is seeking an Animation Director for a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will take place in the Dungeons & Dragons Universe.

As Animation Director, you will manage the animation team, collaborate with stakeholders to develop the animation vision and style for all animation content, serve as an evangelist for the established vision, and assist in the planning and execution for all animation content.

You should be comfortable with leading and managing teams, have a strong understanding of animation pipelines, be experienced with planning animation content, and experienced directing animation to meet the defined vision. The Animation Director will establish strategic direction and best practices to ensure capabilities align to business and development objectives. With broad experience in visual communications, you will serve as a trusted advisor for peers, partners, stakeholders and team members.

The Animation Director will work closely with a cross disciplinary team including, producers, designers, artist, animators, technical artists, art directors and other project stakeholders.

SENIOR COMBAT DESIGNER

Hidden Path Entertainment is seeking an experienced Senior Combat Designer to join our team to work on a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will take place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that is focused on creating exciting third-person action combat. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong background in designing and implementing compelling combat systems and features.  You should be comfortable with Unreal Engine and Unreal Engine blueprints. You should be passionate about creating combat and 3rd person action gameplay that feels great!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the quality, planning, scripting, pacing, implementation, and polish of thematic combat experiences in our D&D RPG
  • Work with gameplay programmers to implement classes, enemies, abilities, weapons, and other combat features in Unreal 5
  • Collaborate with artists and animators to design fantastical weapon movesets, abilities, and creatures with good form and function
  • Support VFX and audio designers in creating communicative and flavorful combat feedback
  • Establish best practices for implementing combat in playable content
  • Ensure that relevant team members understand high-level goals for the combat system as well as low-level specifications, dependencies, and workflows
  • Conduct competitive analysis to assess the quality and scope of the player experience
  • Define feature goals, tasks, and timelines to deliver quality work on time

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a solid understanding for what makes combat feel good in a AAA game
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Professional experience with combat design or other core game systems
  • Represent many different playstyles and player types with their designs
  • Ability to mentor, delegate, and provide clear feedback and direction to others
  • Positive, professional attitude. Disciplined and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Office Manager - PM

You will be responsible for facilities management, routine bookkeeping, purchasing, and assistance with HR and IT. Opportunities exist for assistance in other areas as well such as website community maintenance or game testing. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources, but works closely with COO/CFO and supports others as well. This part-time role reports from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. This is an on-site position located in Bellevue, WA.

Summary Pay Range
Office Manager PM – $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Principal Functions

Facilities Management

  • Maintain first class appearance of facility
  • Greet guests and visitors, process deliveries, monitor incoming calls
  • Interface with property manager to resolve facility issues

Human Resources

  • Plan all employee functions including:
    • Summer and winter events (employees + family)
    • Periodic movie outings (employees only)eeee
  • Assist HR director as necessary, including onboarding process for new employees and management of benefits programs
  • Act as a backup to the HR Director and address employee queries when needed.
  • Assist with various research projects and/or special projects and reports

Financial

  • Perform day-to-day accounting, including transactional input for invoices and credit cards
  • Monitor time allocation compliance, import data to accounting system
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Process and import expense reports using third party system
  • Select and process bill payments weekly

Procurement

  • Manage beverages and snack foods
  • Manage order and receipt process for furniture and equipment
  • Maintain fixed asset system and asset tracking
  • Work to find lowest cost alternatives

IT

  • Assist with equipment purchasing and setup for new and existing employees
  • Manage equipment repair process
  • Manage and organize IT supplies/stock

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills including experience with Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
  • Bookkeeping experience (Quickbooks knowledge a plus)
  • Detail oriented, accurate, good problem solving skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
