WHO WE ARE

Hidden Path Entertainment, Inc. (“Hidden Path” or “we” or “us”) provides interactive software products (“Games”) via online services or digital storefronts such as Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Epic Store, MetaQuest Store and Nintendo eShop. We also own and operate various websites and their subdomains, including without limitation http://hiddenpath.com, to provide access to information about Hidden Path, the Games or provide technical support to our customers.

GAMES

For the Defense Grid series, we offer end users the opportunity to receive additional content in exchange for their email address with the acknowledgement that such email addresses may be used by us from time-to-time for marketing purposes. These email addresses are never sold or released in any way to anyone outside Hidden Path, except as set forth herein.

For Brass Tactics, we collect anonymized game data. This information is used exclusively by us to provide support and/or updates to end users of our Games.  This data is never sold or released in any way to anyone outside Hidden Path, except as set forth herein.

For Witchblood, we store anonymized game data to award promotional game content.  We do not collect any personally identifying user data. 

For Raccoon Lagoon, we store anonymized game data to award promotional game content, we share user names during matchmaking and multiplayer sessions. We do not collect any personally identifying user data.

End users may request removal of any data stored by or on behalf of Hidden Path by making such a request to info@hiddenpath.com.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Your personal data may be disclosed: (i) when we have a good faith belief that we are required to disclose such information in response to legal process, for example, a court order, search warrant, or subpoena (such requests may come from law enforcement and other government authorities); (ii) to satisfy any applicable laws or regulations; (iii) where we believe that the Games are being used in the commission of a crime, including to report such criminal activity or to exchange information with other organizations for the purposes of fraud protection; (iv) when we have a good faith belief that there is an emergency that poses a threat to the health and/or safety of you, another person, or the public generally; and (v) in order to protect the rights or property of Hidden Path, including to enforce our Terms of Use.

Hidden Path documents and carefully reviews each request for personal data it receives in connection with a legal process to make sure it satisfies applicable laws and that we produce only such information that is narrowly tailored to respond to such requests.  If we determine that a request is not consistent with applicable law or our policies, we may engage the requesting governmental authority to address apparent deficiencies to confirm the legality and scope of the request.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.  Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
